Our theme this year is “Africa’s Underdevelopment: Digital Citizens Talk Back” and concentrates on the use of new media tools in exposing crucial information about natural resource exploitation, mega-events (like the FIFA 2010 World Cup) and disasters in Africa. DCI 5.0 discusses the role of citizen media: which stories are important to tell and how can citizen journalists tell them?

Once again, EvN Media is one of the coordinators of this annual event. The team is currently busy compiling the programme.
